How to Deposit and Withdraw with M-Pesa on Arena254

Every shilling on Arena254 moves through M-Pesa: no cards, no bank transfers, no agents. This guide shows you exactly how to deposit and withdraw, what it costs, and what to do if something doesn't arrive.
How to deposit with M-Pesa
- Sign in and open Wallet.
- Tap Deposit.
- Enter the amount (minimum KES 50).
- Enter your Safaricom number. Use one registered in your own name.
- Tap Send prompt. An M-Pesa STK prompt pops up on your phone.
- Enter your M-Pesa PIN on your phone (never on the website) to approve.
Your Arena254 balance updates as soon as Safaricom confirms, usually within seconds. You'll also get the normal M-Pesa confirmation SMS with a code like SGH7ABC123. Keep it until you see the money in your wallet.
Fees: Arena254 doesn't charge for deposits. Safaricom may apply its normal charges.
Why didn't the prompt appear?
- Check that the number is correct and the phone is on, unlocked and has network.
- Make sure your M-Pesa account isn't over its daily limit.
- Wait a minute before trying again. To protect you, we limit how many prompts can be sent in a short time.
- If you set a deposit limit or break in Profile → Controls, deposits are paused until it ends. The message on screen tells you.
Paid but your wallet wasn't credited?
Most deposits arrive within a minute. If 30 minutes have passed since your M-Pesa confirmation SMS, go to the Help centre, choose "My deposit didn't arrive", pick the deposit and enter the confirmation code. Payment issues are answered first.
How to withdraw your winnings
- Open Wallet → Withdraw.
- Enter the amount (minimum KES 50, up to KES 500,000 per day).
- Check the fee shown, then confirm.
The money goes to the M-Pesa number registered to your account, usually within minutes.

The fee is taken from the amount you withdraw and shown before you confirm.
What if a withdrawal fails?
If Safaricom can't complete a payout, the full amount, fee included, goes back to your wallet automatically. Large or unusual withdrawals may be held briefly for a security check. We'll tell you if we need anything from you.
Can I withdraw money that's in a game?
No. Money "in play" is held for a live match or tournament until it settles. Everything else in your wallet can be withdrawn at any time, even during a break or self-exclusion.
Keep your M-Pesa and account safe
- Never share your M-Pesa PIN, password or verification codes. Arena254 will never ask for them by phone, SMS or chat.
- Only approve STK prompts you started yourself.
- Use a strong, unique password and sign out on shared phones.
- Your wallet only pays out to your registered number, which protects you if someone gets into your account.
