How to play Ludo
Be the first to bring all four of your tokens home.
Setup
- 2, 3 or 4 players. Each has four tokens in their yard. The server rolls every die — provably fair, checkable after the game.
Moving
- Roll a 6 to bring a token out of the yard onto your start square.
- Move one token the number shown. If only one move is possible it's played for you.
- A 6, a capture or bringing a token home earns another roll. Three 6s in a row lose the turn.
- You need the exact number to reach home.
Capturing and blocking
- Land on an opponent's token to send it back to their yard — except on the 8 safe squares (start squares and stars).
- Two or more of one player's tokens on one ordinary square form a block that others can't pass or land on.
Time
- 25 seconds per turn. Miss three turns in a row and you're out of the game.
Rule set: Classic Ludo, as played in Kenya, with server-rolled dice.
